Truly a fascinating article, thank you very much! Excellent job Brandi and Tribune!
I would also like to thank the Travis County's District Attorney's office for their willingness to look for the truth beyond the verdict. Unlike the Williamson County DAs involved in the Morton case, ours in Travis County have demonstrated integrity, and a commitment to the truth, and justice that should be noted. Excellent job Travis County DA office! Perhaps we need to send our DAs to Williamson County to give them a seminar on ethics, working for justice, and of course, not withholding evidence? It is also unsettling to realize we had/have a serial killer among us for years, mainly because evidence was withheld in the Morton case.
Additionally, if the evidence for thus conviction is limited to a string of reported conversations with Davis by a series of his ex's, it would appear the District Attorney's office also have some very good lawyers, as well. You have got to be good to get a conviction just on those basis. Frankly, I would agree with the basis Mr. McDonald is asserting for his clients appeal, there is not enough evidence for conviction beyond a reasonable doubt.
Thank you again Ms. Grissom, excellent article Tribune!

Willingness to have a look is what makes Austin light years away from Georgetown.

If the DA is not concerned why is he spending the time and money on a relook?

It's so important to our system that there be opportunities to check things like this out when they come up, even if it takes time and money.
