Obama to Talk Energy in Oklahoma This Week
Update, 7 p.m.: A White House official said that the president on Thursday would "reiterate his administration’s commitment to expediting the construction of a pipeline from Cushing, Oklahoma to the Gulf of Mexico, relieving a bottleneck of oil and bringing domestic resources to market."
Original story: When President Obama speaks Thursday in Cushing, Okla., he'll undoubtedly have something to say about the controversial Keystone XL pipeline, which a Canadian company hopes to build to move oil from Alberta tar sands to Gulf Coast refineries.
On Tuesday afternoon, CNN reported that Obama will "fast track" the southern leg ...

He will take full credit and claim it was his idea , since it does not cross the U.S. Canada border and he can not stop it. He will say this will be more efficient and is an attempt to lower gas prices. After all it is already approved and shovel ready. Good work Barry

Obama can not say anything Americans know all he wants is to pretend that he cares But he has revealed his true colors on gasoline prices he and his crew wants to see the price of gasoline go to European prices. I just wish he was in Europe as there leader since he loves there way of live homosexuals and list goes on and on.
Anyone BUT Obama and democrats!

Looking at the nature of the comments it just become hilarious. First the house republicans forced the President to a decision on Keystone, knowing full well the owner of the pipeline had agreed to changes, and that those changes had not been fully evaluated. This was followed by the same republicans misrepresentation of 1) the number of employees this would generate, 2) the economic impact, 3) the house republicans forcing the President into this decision. Blame Obama. Now that part of the pipeline is approved, these same people attack the President as being opportunistic. Really? Needless to say, the credibility of these people and their leaders are becoming thin. Just look at the nature of the comments.

These comments speak eloquently about the nature of the opposition to this President. First the House Republicans place a deadline of 60 days for approval, knowing full well that Nebraska had expressed concerns regarding the portion of the route over highly sensitive aquifers, and that Trans Canada agreed to changes to address those concerns. This was followed by the inevitable republican chorus of criticism of the decision. Never mind, it was this 60 day arbitrary rule that forced the President's hand. Now the President approves a portion of this pipeline, is it hailed and supported by the republicans. Of course not. It is met with claims of political opportunism (wonder where those cries were when the republicans imposed the 60 day timeline). The President approved this portion, despite the fact that some of his supporters are vehemently opposed to it. So, when they claim the President approved it 'because', it is clear to everyone that no matter what you will find some way to criticize this President. Unfortunately, tactics like this is quickly leaving your credibility a little thin.

Dale , It appears you believe the spin yourself and promote it further. There never has been any opposition to the southern leg from Cushing. It has been approved for sometime now and has only been awaiting crossing of I's and dotting of T's. Obama never had any say one way or another about it. But he is very quick to rush in and claim he owns it.
Secondly who really cares whether it is 10,000 jobs or 100,000? The Billions spent on green energy have not created any jobs to speak of,,, maybe in the 100's at best.
Personally speaking it does not really matter , for those of us in the energy business,, how high the cost of energy goes. The higher the better for us. I really am thinking of voting for Obama since it will provide me with job security for many years to come. He cannot stop drilling on private land. $10 gasoline would be very good for me ,, but a total disaster for most of the country. Algae , wind and solar are pipe dreams . Apparently $7,500 was not enough to get people to buy Obama's favorite car and the subsidy has been bumped to $10,000. I really doubt this will be enough to entice people to buy a car that goes 35 miles max on a charge and costs $40,000 ,,,if you do not use the heater, AC, radio. Maybe when they are free people will take them.
