Perry Leaning Toward a Run for Re-election
Gov. Rick Perry said Tuesday he is leaning toward running for re-election in 2014 and possibly another stab at the White House two years after that.
Perry also told The Texas Tribune he had learned a few lessons from his failed presidential bid. He said he knows now he got into the race too late. He underestimated how hard it would be to recover from back surgery. And he learned that everything a candidate says in a presidential race is fodder for the national media echo chamber.
Other than that, he loved every minute of it.
“It was fun. I ...

I'm still one of the "Brunettes for Perry." (Can't remember where I got that button, found it in a pocket last night.)

Does that mean he'll come out of retirement? No? Didn't think so.

Rick Perry must have a professional ego-stroker on staff. That is the only explanation.

Rick Perry has hit so many speedbumps that his tailpipe is dragging now. It's time for a new vehicle, maybe one with a bit less hair flair and some more sensible options?

Wow, Governor for Life, LOL. I think the state will wise up about him and the Republicans sooner or later though.

What a packaged remark. He could never have come up with that remark, but it so fits him!

Next will be a pothole.

Perry for Governor is unhealthy for Texas. Two term limits provides plenty of time to do what you need to do and move on with fresh leadership and ideas.

If Gov. Oops is serious about running for president again...he needs to put himself thru school again and learn someting about the world and more than sound bites on the issues, Even George W.
put himself thru a series of sessions with experts on various subjects before he ran. The problem this time was that Perry did not think he had to be prepared for the job...He thougjt just knowing how to campaign was all that necessary. I seriously doubt that he will put in the time and effort...He has never shown the willingness to do any hard mental work before and I doubt he will in the future either,

Yup, he has sure taken TX down a deadend road...

Dead end road - nope, he is willfully driving down the road that will take the state over a cliff - and as long as he get's paid sufficient $$$ - he and his buddies really don't care.

Henry G. Cisneros says, Bring it On! Perry will never get another free pass from debates and meeting with newspaper editors. I feel sorry for him if he thinks there's nothing more to life than helping his crony friends.

Rick Perry will need to show the people that he can walk the walk that he talks. Most of Texas has Land Grants from the Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty and they are being violated by Public Officials. Governor Perry has the duty to protect these Grants that were done by the Governor's Office and the Commissioner of General Land Management with the blessings of the U.S. Government to private ownership. What has your Governor done for YOU lately?

As far as Greg Abbott, he has ruined more families then Hitler!

I would like to debate Rick Perry myself on water issues, the justice system, and why schools get less money than prisons.

There he goes again! 'Ol Rick Perry stroking a possible run for the Governorship after he sported that "Deer in the Headlights" look as he flamed out over "Oopsville." Anyone thinking of voting for him in the next presidential primary should realize he is just one of the fringe movement that wants to take away the gains under the recently passed and Supreme Court sanctioned Health Care Act. Here's just a sampling:
Data released by insurers helped determine which insurance companies may owe rebates in Texas. Rebates will vary in size, but for the first time ever, insurers are actually giving you money back, and anything helps!
The Health Care Act sanctioned by the Supreme Court will provide back to Texans:
Individual Market:
Aetna Life Ins Co: $8,442,789
American Republic Ins Co: $425,718
Golden Rule Ins Co: $9,317,167
Connecticut Gen Life Ins Co: $5,293,245
John Alden Life Ins Co: $1,653,815
Mid West Natl Life Ins Co Of TN: $998,507
Time Ins Co: $5,536,259
Humana Ins Co: $9,591,167
Standard Life and Casualty Insurance Company: $995,468
The Mega Life & Hlth Ins Co: $2,346,153
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas: $89,881,761
Total: $134,482,051

The petitions for secession going on the wethepeople website have no meaning. The fact that Perry snubbed a fairly big size of his supporters by blowing it off has angered a lot of people.
As if his everyday buffoonery wasn't bad enough..
I'm hopeful that the State of Texas won't be good enough to grant him another term as Governor.
This Texan will not vote for him again in 2014.
