LCRA to Consider Far-Reaching Water Plan
The Lower Colorado River Authority, the utility that controls water flowing from the Highland Lakes to the Gulf Coast, is set to approve a new plan for allocating water. Growing up around farmers and farming operations, I am largely sympathetic to their plight. That being said, when I can go to Lake Buchanan and hike across a field of grass for miles, that normally would be the bottom of the lake, there is clearly not enough water for rice farming.
