Darn it! If they don't approve of abortions - don 't get them!!! But don't force your beliefs on others.

The grants from the Komen Foundation can help to save women's lives. Who are the abortion opponents to say that isn't a good thing!!!

Investigations? Investigations? We at Komen don't want no stinking Investigations! Penn State University, under all sorts of investigations because a football coach was allowed to rape children on campus - yup, that Penn State - gets a Komen grant for $7.5 million to do cancer research. Is that investigation criminal enough and conclusive enough of "administraion improprieties" for ya Komen? Naw! m.motherjones.com/mojo/2012/02/komen-foundation-gave-75-million-grant-penn-state

Those people do not deserve to call themselves "pro-life"

I think the anti-choice people are confused. The breasts aren't in the uterus, breast cancer doesn't affect the uterus, and a breast exam doesn't cause abortion.

Tie enforced sterilization of men to every anti-choice bill presented.

These people are against them applying for grants to fund breast cancer screening?? I bet they are all rich white men too. These people don't understand that planned parenthood is sometimes the only feminine health care some people can get. This grant will undoubtedly save someone's life yet they say they are pro-life and are against it. I wish these people would wake up and realize abortions are not the only thing pp does. If they want to have a problem w abortions ok let them have their opinion, protest pp DOING abortions, but don't have a problem with them trying to save women's lives by screening for breast cancer. Or any of the myriad other testing they do for women's health for that matter.

In a time when money is difficult to come by and daily people are losing jobs, homes and hope for the future – an organization that is in place solely to provide low/no cost medical screening and treatment to women (who are at least 50% of the folks affected by this economic crisis) is under attack.
We should all think very carefully about why an issue like this would even occur at this time in our history – the year 2012. How in the world can an issue of women’s HEALTH - 50% of the planet’s population - be politicized? Can you even imagine us having a conversation about men’s health??!
How much longer are we going to allow this marginalization to occur? Do you want your daughters to grow up continuing to be seen as issue that people can fight about and make decisions about as if we are not actually part of this system?
You should embrace whatever your political doctrine, spiritual belief or social conscience steers you to embrace – and celebrate the fact that we live in a country where that is possible. But you might also want to spend some time thinking about the following:
• Man or Woman - You might end up with little to no financial or healthcare resources at some point and need to take advantage of services that are provided for those in just such situations. Wouldn’t it be awful if there were no more services left to help you?
• Women make up more than 50% of the workforce and an increasing percentage of the political leadership – perhaps it is time to step forward and begin to LEAD in a meaningful way. Pay attention to what is going on around you and make good choices that will continue to help women take their places as equal partners in every way.
And if you have never received treatment at Planned Parenthood - as I have many, many times when I did not have access to other healthcare - annual gyno checkups, breast exams and pap smears - then perhaps you should refrain from any comments about the organization.
It would be great if we could move toward the ideal that we are all human beings, deserving of being seen as equally important, not as second class citizens to be used as political footballs – to be discussed and have decisions made about as if we are not actually standing in the room. I hope you will do the same, by modeling the behavior that shows we can live in a harmonious way, working together, rather than in the classic war model where someone must lose in order for someone else to win and everyone is fair game; especially women.

Please tell me that there are some lessons learned from this fiasco!

I disagree with the premise. I'm "against" abortion, but the best way to prevent abortions is to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Obviously every beneficiary of these funds are trying to avoid even having to make that decision.

I for one will not support anyone who supports killing the unborn.

planned Parenthood is against " unplanned parenthood" hence they are pro abortion and direct consumers towards providers , even though they do not personally provide them. If I go to Discount Tire I know what I am buying and why I am there. The name of this organization is the same ,,,, it tells you what they do and why they are in business. Komen can claim they give money to support services specific to their personal mission. Where is the paperclip on the money that denotes it will only be used for those purposes? Planned Parenthood is THE LEADING provider of abortion services in the nation through subsidiaries who provide kickbacks for referrals. Most murderers can usually find justification in the fact they did some good at one time or another. Then again if their clientele is predominantly minority could they be doing us all a favor in the end?

Unless you have been to Afghanistan or Pakistan your whiny "taliban" comments are extremely offensive. they show the low degree of intelligence that someone who supports the slaughter of a baby would have.

President Obama's attacks on Catholics continues:
Contrary to conscience protections that are already a matter of law, Catholic Relief Services and Migration Refugee Services were told that a new condition for the renewal of cooperative agreements was the provision of offering a full-range of so-called reproductive services
