State Bar Dismisses Bradley Misconduct Grievance
Williamson County District Attorney John Bradley today released a letter from the State Bar of Texas informing him that the agency has dismissed a grievance filed against him in the Michael Morton case.
"Today, I received written confirmation that the alleged grievance filed against me did NOT demonstrate any misconduct on my part," Bradley said in an email (the emphasis is his). "As the report from the Innocence Project indicated, the DA's office acted professionally and ethically in handling the Morton claim of innocence, arising from a 25-year old conviction through a different prosecutor."
Morton was exonerated last year ...

The smugness of this bastard just irritates me.

That is terrible that the State Bar of Texas dismissed this... This man was a huge part of sending an innocent man to prison.. This further proves the judicial system in itself is criminal...

Of course it did. Justice in Texas is not meant to hold overly zealous prosecutors accountable.

This will be left up to the voters. We need all the help we can get to right the wrongs of the current 'good old boy' atmosphere prevailing here in Georgetown. Fight the power and disrupt the status quo.

Bradley prosecuted a totally innocent man why the actual criminal was allowed to go free and kill again...

the state bar is a racket.

Fucwads. Happy to be an inactive Texas lawyer.

This guy reminds me of Jimmie Piersall, the bipolar centerfielder for the Red Sox in the 50's. He carried around papers from a pyschiatrist that said he was not insane, and would show them to anyone who would read them. I'm just sayin'. As for me. I'll be wearing a red bandana around Georgetown, and on my car antenna.

The state bar is NOT about to throw the book at this guy for these actions - attorneys across the state would revolt against the state bar... They take care of their own. Today, lady justice was truly blind...

As a lawyer in Texas for 27 years and a member of the State Bar of Texas (no choice ... membership is mandatory in order to practice law here unlike 19 other states), there was no surprise to me in the outcome. As I noted in an comment to the earlier article about the filing of the complaint against Mr. Bradley, the Bar works to protect its own, especially the elected or the influential of its membership. Go back throughout the Texas Bar Journal and look at the section on disciplinary actions and see when the last time was they even so much as reprimanded a lawyer of any importance in the state. By the way, the State Bar of Texas is not an elected body. It is an agency of the Texas Supreme Court

This story is growing exponentially.
Everyone Bradley touches gets sucked into his vortex of wrongdoing. Now the Texas Bar is going to have to explain when they last took action against a prosecutor! Bradley serves on one of the Texas Bar's committees so you know they aren't going to vote against one of their own. The lack of action by the Bar show's they are incapable of regulating their own. Legislation is needed to rein in the overzealous DAs that exist across Texas. There have been plenty of examples from the Harris Co. DA knowing DUI tests were inaccurate, the Dallas Co. DA printing names of people who have been arrested but yet convicted, The DA that prosecuted the Tulia 12 and some yahoo in Upshur Co. that was chastised by a judge for charging people before elections without sufficient evidence. We have a group that put their political ambitions ahead of justice. The Texas Bar should be spitting mad at Bradley instead of protecting him!!

If you live in Williamson Co, have enough sense to vote for anyone else but John Bradley in the primary. You can show your disgust with Bradley by placing red bandana's all over the county, on a car, wearing one or in other locations. I’ve placed one on a tree in my front yard. Let the county be covered with bandanas, showing we don't support Bradley’s obstruction of justice.

Here's a great post on Grits for Breakfast showing why John Bradley doesn’t deserve anyone’s vote this year.

No surprises here, State Bar protecting a Prosecutor. Too bad they will not help him come election time.

Gypsy - this is an article about John Bradley. However, after last night you should begin to worry. Are you still planning on "bloodletting" once the President is re-elected?

Dale you can not handle the truth give it up.

Gypsy - Your a violent and hate filled extremist. I suggest you Google "santorum", it is the very essence of you!

Dale or what ever your name is i think people can judge for there self without your racist remarks and judgement. It is clear you can not handle the truth other wise why do you keep trying to label others as racist or hateful. It is clear hear who is lost and has no other way to feel good about your self then to join Obama and other liberals on labeling someone a racist Obama is a pro on using the race card and he has taught the liberals well when you can not handle the truth. I still think you are a little man and most likely a illegal alien or a homosexual since you are defending them so much.

@ Gypsy - First of all, I am not the one who hides his identity behind the moniker of "Gypsy". And someone who calls for violence against our nation should Obama be re-elected should hide his identity. I have a good number of GOP friends, whom I know are not bigoted. Other GOP/conservatives in this forum have asked you NOT to indulge in such speech, it weakens their position. They are correct, and I applaud those who have spoken out against your hate filled diatribes. I have not called youAs to racist, ]but if the shoe fits....I have called you a homophobic bigot, and you clearly are such. While you call for violence, I have NEVER called for violence, against any person. (what a LOVELY christian you claim to be) You, Gypsy are a relic of our sad past and every time you comment, the choices on this Presidential election become clear. While I have enjoyed some very heated arguments in this forum, I respect everyone who has spoken in opposition. Except you. You are a sad, hate filled person and I have nothing but pity for you.

Dale You are a joke and I pity you for the lies you are trying to push to all your liberal friends. As I have been saying you can not handle the truth and are now crying out well get over it and take a hike.

Gypsy - my candidate did not lose last night. Yours got clobbered. Your are a sad pathetic person. I would suggest you spend less time commenting and more time studying the rudiments of grammar and spelling. Ignorance is clearly not bliss.

Shame on you Bradley. How much is a DNA test? It is much cheaper than the 6 additional years you kept an innocent man in jail. Get out of our justice system. No one should vote for this guy.
