We mirrored some of the questions from the University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll this week to get an idea where the insiders stand, and to have a look at the differences between the insiders and registered voters in the general public (take a look at Jim Henson's analysis of last week's Inside Intelligence and how the public answered the same questions).
Insiders put education at the top of their list of issues facing the state of Texas, followed by the economy, the water supply and state budget cuts (a tie), and political corruption/leadership.

Education should be on vouchers system. The public system thinks they are not touchable and they act like it. I think if the pubic school had to compete to keep there jobs then our children would have a much better education. Illegal immigration students should not be allowed to use our schools or system and NO court or President should ever be able to say tax payers have to foot the bill. I think democrats need the votes and plan to make illegal aliens count for them we must send a strong message to democrats that illegal means illegal and by voting them out of office I think the message will be loud and clear. I think death penalty must be on the table and if DNA is clear and could not have been planted then it should be a good source to convict. But we all know even eye witness has made mistakes and DNA could also be planted to frame someone else. So life would be fair sentence.

A free and adequate public education is a very important part of the Texas Constitution. From reading gypsy314 ne's comment he or she didn't take advantage of the educational opportunities we offer in Texas especially in English or Texas History.

In reading this article, I am as usual not surprised that the "insiders" have no clue what the citizens of this state or our country need and want. I believe that the entire budget of Texas could have been balanced with some true inner enforcement of illegal alien benefit laws. No one has the will to do the will of the people with regards to this issue. We have American citizens struggling but if you are illegal - you will get everything you need and then some. Illegal has a definition and if you are in the country illegally, you have no right to the benefits payed for by the American citizen - these funds and programs are set up to help taxpayers in their time of need, not support people who do not belong here. As a candidate for the TX House of Representatives in District 115, I will support the opinions of the citizens and most of them are fed up with the pandering and useless waste of their taxpayer monies going to people who shoiuldn't even be here in the first place. Mr. Politician, not all Americans are stupid.
Mr. politician, not all Americans are stupid, you can not BS the whole country. It was a time in this United States, that the American people was the most productive in the world, proud of being self sufficient and the biggest exporters that supply foreign countries with goods and service. Your job stimulus and the billions of Dollars that you want to waste on fixing the US infrastructure will create only temporary jobs and will not fix this catastrophe; it is a dream that will never become a reality.
We know what made our country's huge unemployment that contributed to this economic catastrophe. It is the "Free Trade and Globalization"; not one will be able to fix this catastrophe if they are not able to see the truth.
Mr. politician, For forty years this corrupt Government, hide the damage caused by free trade and Globalization, this government implemented socialist programs to compensate the people for lost income and jobs; give the people what they have not earned and guarantee the people a right to goods and services they has not earned, at the expenses of the middle class. This practice of cover up our country's ill foreign trade policies, converted our country into a socialist state, that is destroying our country's values.
What politicians of this United States, must understand is that the government do not produce any jobs or any thing; they take from the people in the form of taxation and diminish someone else's right to what he has earned. Socialism, Marxism and communism do not work; the people of this United states will revolt. Mr. politician , the people is fed up, it will not take it any more; you have seen the peoples demonstrations asking for the reclamation of their values and the restoration of the U.S. Constitution to void these unconstitutional treaties, and the prosperity of the working people. Free Trade is making the multinational corporations rich while slavering the American people and destroying our economic; this income inequality is the result of greed for money and power to control the world economic.
Mr. Politician, the first thing you must do, is to recognize that socialist programs do not work and must stop. Give the people back, their pride and their right to self determination this will fix this catastrophe. We know that rights come with responsibilities, and that it is the responsibility of every American to work, to be the best they can be and be productive. Not one in this United States want to become a burden to any one; not to their families, their community or the country. This corrupt government must eradicate all elements that deprive Americans of working opportunities and earning livable wages. The elements that needs to be address are:
Free Trade and illegal immigration, these two issues deprive Americans of the opportunity to work and earn a decent pay for their work.
Mr. Politician, expending money in the name of social justice is a lie, because this made people economic slaves dependents of handouts and supporters of their masters. it is a system that will destroy our nation wealth and income, it breeds more spending and make our people lazy.
Mr. Politician, you need to start working for the American people, do not promise what you can not deliver. Free Trade can be renegotiate to benefit the American working people and the easy task, will be the enforcement of our immigration laws and secure our borders, this will create millions of jobs. stimulus and bail outs will not work it will make this economic catastrophe worse.
Mr. Politician, I pray to God, to give you the wisdom to do what is right for Americans. This is not the time to seek political power it is a time to work hard to save our country. The bottom line is: we are not Greece. But we will end with the same problems down the road, if we do not stop this spending frenzy and start dealing with our trade policies and structure deficits now. Time it's not in our side, we must act now.

I have cousin in prison serving a life term sentence for a murder he did not commite we have a guy stateing my cousin was not around we even had a notary singng and stamp it he. Confessed in front of two people and the both was a notary he was asked if he was pressured in to the statement he said no he was asked if he felt he was threatend he said no he was ask if he was confessing cause he wanted to get close to my sister he said no he we ask why are you confessing he said i just want to see an innocent man free he even stated that he lied on the jury stand now from what i know my cousin has been in the wynne unit for a while over all since i was eight im 22 now thats fiften years can someone hear my cry and help to get justice served cause an innocent man is in prison for some he say she say point the finger crap oh and why did not the jury do billistic test he was no were around at all some one please help me

Republicans should get a Voucher system going immediately. Give 80% for tuition and 20% to the public school the kid is leaving to help them compete. What is missing in education is competition! We treat education like it would be if in Texas you could only drive a Ford or retail shop only in Target as we dont allow other retailers. Would people think we were stupid? Of course. Get private and public schools competing to see which can do the best job. Public schools will rise to the occasion for sure but get that competition going. It gives us the best in everything else so why do we not want educators competing?
