Man, Evan Smith wants Perry to be the Republican nominee so badly you can actually smell it through the podcast. (Seriously, the cries that everyone else needs to get off the stage right now so Perry can take on Romney 1-on-1 are ridiculous.)
You have to ask, why does he feel so strongly? Is this purely because a Perry nomination would be a huge benefit to the Tribune, or have the years under Perry rule resulted in some kind of perverse stockholm syndrome?

It is amazing that every GOP Primary is preceded by some issue related to the Confederate flag. Why are we still talking about this? Because Jerry Patterson is running for Lite Gov and using this issue as a form of Race Baiting to the base.
