Donna Nelson, appointed in July by Gov. Rick Perry to chair the Public Utility Commission, is keenly aware of the challenges facing the state's electric grid right now, following an extremely hot summer in Texas (and a very warm start to fall).

What's happened to the $3 billion tin bonds axpayers approved to upgrade the grid? We were told all these wonderful things were going to happen if the bonds were passed. Instead, we're living with the threat of rolling blackouts. Why should anyone believe anything our elected officials claim? I say it's time to toss ALL of our current elected office holders out in next year's election.
