Not sure how to feel about this. I share Ratliff and Soto's concerns...if Sanders is smart enough to hire good people, and stay out of the administration and content delivery, he may be able to raise a lot of money and do some good.

You have got to be kidding me! Deion Sanders and his con man business partner, D.L. Wallace has 'gotten over' on the taxpayers and the State Board of Education. Neither of these men have a college degree. Furthermore, they are currently being sued for offering revenue sharing and possible unlicensed securities sales in a previous attempt to open a charter school. Basically, they believed that the charter school is a cash cow and they could profit by inducing other 'investors to pony up before the school was approved, then repay them with state issued funds. THIS IS ILLEGAL! That case is still in court and has not been resolved. The State Board of Education was made aware of this, yet they approved this charter school. Even the 501c3 organization that was issued the charter (Uplift Fort Worth) appears to be a shell organization. They have no revenue and no track record of any activities or accomplishments. The director lists his name as D.L. Watson, but it's really Deion's con man partner D.L. Wallace. The taxpayers of Texas have been duped!

I hope the state has the ability to revoke his license as quickly as they issued it.
