U.S. Sen. John Cornyn demanded today that President Barack Obama take "concrete, constructive, meaningful steps" to address Medicare's funding crisis. By not doing so, Cornyn said, Obama is "abdicating his responsibilities" and "violating federal law." Cornyn and a group of GOP lawmakers followed up by sending a letter to the president's desk.
