The first TV ad from Attorney General Greg Abbott references the accident that left him in a wheelchair, saying the Republican "has never taken the easy path; never has, never will." The spot, which is running statewide, goes on to tout his crime fighting credentials, noting that Abbott has "arrested more criminals than any other attorney general."

Abbott faces Democratic challenger and Houston lawyer Barbara Ann Radnofsky on Nov. 2.
